1. American Gods Season Two Teaser [2019] (Starz)
"The storm is coming."

Finally we are seeing something of the continuation of this bonkers Neil Gaiman adaptation after the sordid backroom antics whereby we saw Bryan Fuller and Michael Green leaving with cast members Gillian Anderson and Kristin Chenoweth in tow. The teaser itself make it looks like there is nothing wrong at all, business as usual, as we see the Old and New Gods begin recruiting much more hurriedly for the upcoming war between the two sides fighting for the reverence of the people so to speak. I can't say whether or not the second season would be living up to the first (it is highly regarded by myself) but seeing this teaser ease my worry just a little bit.

2. Aquaman's 5-minute preview
"More can be greater than a king." "A hero."
I always have a lot of faith in James Wan after the Conjuring and am glad to see him thriving in the major movie scene and now he is in the thick of it with the sole DC film of the year in Aquaman. With the first trailer left some critiquing the visual effects and the portrayal of the characters, this extended preview is released with the possible intent to counter the criticism and give them something more positive to talk about. I believe it is a much more clear representation of the final product and I love everything that I see between the banters between Arthur Curry and Mera, the action sequence with Black Manta and the visual splendour of the colourful underwater world being brought to life. Do you feel the same as me?.

3. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina's official trailer [October 26th] (Netflix)
"My name is Sabrina Spellman, and I will NOT sign it away!"

I am just an avid viewer of the Sabrina the Teenage Witch series back in the 90's and I am intrigued to see how well are they going to adapt the graphic novel series of the same name. Will Melissa Joan Hart makes a cameo? How long do you have to wait until this crosses over with the CW series Riverdale?

4. DC reveals TV shows release schedule

Well, there you go. If you're looking forward to any of the shows listed here, this is a clear timeline of when you can see them. I am personally wanting to see Doom Patrol and Swamp Thing. Harley Quinn looks interesting too.

5. first look of Fast and Furious spinoff Hobbs and Shaw [July 26th, 2019]
"We either gonna get along or we gonna get it on."
It is fitting to give the best thing coming out of the last Furious entry its own 'solo' film despite Tyrese Gibson's objection (I hope he is doing better now ...), with that prison break scene showcasing how well they can play off of each other character-wise and of course physically. Okay, let's see who might be in it beside them ... Helen Mirren and Luke Evans could possibly return to support Deckard Shaw but do you know who they need to team up to fight against? Yes, Idris Elba! Sign me up! Go to the site for more info.

Oh, David Leitch is directing, with John Wick, Atomic Blonde and Deadpool 2 already under his belt, which assure me that the action will be outstanding at least.

6. Harry Potter open world action RPG focus test video leaked
I am just too happy to know there exists a Harry Potter game whereby you can play as your own character and will be able to play in the magical world created by J.K. Rowling and possibly go where ever you want with the open world concept, ala GTA hopefully. If you read the possible press release description of the game where the video originated from, you might be as elatic (wait, that's not a word? happy then) as I am.

Okay, if you read the eurogamer's article, you'll know that it is not made by Rocksteady and this game could possibly being made by Avalanche Software of Disney Infinity fame that when that series is canceled, the studio briefly closed before being brought up by ... Warner Bros. Interactive. That's possible.

7. first official poster of Hellboy reboot with David Harbour [April 12th, 2019]

I am not that fond of that subtitle as well but this first official poster following on the first looks and the NYCC banner is a nice start of the marketing for a film just over six month away. Whether or not the title will be as simple as that or would have a description following it up, it is almost confirmed that Milla Jovovich will be the main bad as the Blood Queen. David is great in Stranger Things and I believe his gruff personality will come true that thick latex.

10. first look of Emmett J. Scanlan as Lobo for Krypton Season Two (Syfy) [2019]

"Time to liven' up the joint!"

Krypton was not something I look forward to just based on its premise alone but after watching it through myself, I was proven wrong with how fast paced the storyline moved and how the proper usage of Brainiac serves the series tremendously as we saw the planet in its full glory before it started to turn for the worse. Where the first season leaves the status quo in, I want to see how they are going to play with the universe now and with Lobo being put into the mix as the other big bad, this is going to be an interesting second season at the least. How about that for a series without Super-Man?

14. She-Ra and the Princesses of Power's Season One trailer [November 16th] (Netflix)
"For the honour of Greyskull!"

Oh, there are other princesses, I thought there would  more wielder of the sword. I apologize, I am not well versed with He-Man lore. Looking at that trailer, it looks like it will be a lot of fun. Maybe He-Man will get his due when the series is a proven success.

15. Telltale's the Walking Dead: the Final Season's Episode 3 & 4 will be released through Robert Kirkman's Skybound Games
I just want to share this wonderful news of a silver lining shining through this dark storm ...

If you do not know, Robert Kirkman is the original creator of the Walking Dead graphic novels and he has his own game studio in Skybound Games, which is really poetic to have him swooping in to save this dyng carcass of a forgotten project by a dead developer. At least we will see the proper conclusion of the Clementine saga and those who have paid for the season pass would get their money's worth. Those Telltale employees still won't get their severance pay, right ...?

17. the Mandalorian
We finally learn of the setting and title of the first live action Star Wars series (and of course it won't be the last). Jon Favreau will be showrunning it, with a number of intriguing directors set to direct the episodes with Dave Filoni for the first, while Deborah Chow (Jessica Jones), Rick Famuyiwa (Dope), Bryce Dallas Howard (Solemates), and even Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok) are set for the others.

"The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic."

18. They Live sunglasses in real life actually block media screens
"In an effort to help you “have uninterrupted experiences and genuine human connections,” IRL Glasses (IRL = In Real Life, as in “stop looking at the TV and experience real life”) work just like a typical pair of UV-blocking sunglasses. Only these also block the light emitted from LCD/LED screens “by flattening and rotating the polarized lens 90 degrees.” So you can walk around without having to see that flashing ad on the side of a building, or a commercial on the bar TV. The only downside is that while these glasses will block most TVs and some computers, they don’t work on smartphones. And that’s the screen we need to stop looking at the most, because with the amount of time we spend staring at ours we’re pretty sure, even without magical sunglasses, they are telling us to “obey.”"

Technology have come a long way that what has been created in movies of yesteryears can be brought to life just like this They Live sunglasses that block LED/LCD screens. Yeah, but not including the smartphone though.

21. the Chronicles of Narnia & What We Do in the Shadows getting a new life
https://www.comicbookmovie.com/fantasy/the-chronicles-of-narnia-will-be-rebooted-for-netflix-in-a-new-series-of-movies-and-shows-a163887

I am putting them together since it is a continuation of a known IP, although the former will be rebooted for Netflix in a new series of movies and shows while the latter will have its own shared universe with two separate shows, one is based in New Zealand (titled Wellington Paranormal) and another in Staten Island (I believe it will carry the movie's name with it).
I am jealous of those who got to watch the pilot at NYCC already ...

Okay, Wellington Paranormal is out already in their native land and while that one is of course a mockumentary with the X-Files and Hot Fuzz blend together, the American spinoff will be about three vampires who have lived together for hundred of years, and will debut on FX in spring of 2019.

22. live action adaptations for Capcom and Disney

Yup, even Lilo and Stitch will be getting its own live action adaptation. I'm happy that this means Disney will possibly have a major film with native Hawaiian cast but the main concern here is how are they going to adapt Stitch. I love seeing Dumbo looks as realistic as possible in the recent teaser but what about an extraterrestrial alien?
Capcom is try to follow up the conclusion of their Resident Evil movie series with two projects in Mega Man and Monster Hunter. The former do not have any extra information other than official confirmation but the latter would have Paul W.S. Anderson and Milla Jovovich back to spearhead this project.
