Project Viability = 90% with the capability of the director and the cast although that de-aging technology is the be all and end all.
Martin Scorsese has a long and illustrious career and his track record has gone across almost all the genres in the spectrum ranging from crime to animation to thriller to documentary to religion, cementing his place as one of the most prolific directors of the ages. Now still going strong at the ripe age of 75, he is finally giving the long-gestating project a go, adapting the book, 'I Heard You Paint Houses: Frank 'The Irishman' Sheeran and the Inside Story of the Mafia, the Teamsters, and the Final Ride by Jimmy Hoffa', written by Charles Brandt. With his long-time capable collaborator Steven Zaillian of Gangs of New York, Moneyball and Schindler's List fame would adapt it into a screenplay, Martin is bringing back as well the appropriate cast for another Mafia movie, the core trio of his arguably most well known work, Goodfellas: Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci(!), proving his influence by being able to coax him out of semi-retirement for one last work with the gang! Even getting Al Pacino to partner up with Robert again after 1995's Heat! Oh, didn't I mention they'll be de-aged for a massive duration of the film? Being involved with a streaming platform is another foray he's bravely stepping into, and considering his vast experience in the field he accumulated through the decades of filmmaking, I'm sure he won't be losing his steps and his touch anytime soon.
Chance of Success = 90% with the amount of prestige his name and the cast bring.
a case for the return to the genre by one of the masters:
+ Highlights +
Goodfellas is one of the most celebrated Mafia/mob film of all time hence it is like a dream come true for the visionary director to come back into the fold, while the icing on the cake is the return of the core cast back together again and the cherry on top is Joe Pesci is willing to come out of semi-retirement to work with the master and the fellas one more time!

Oh, another pairing of Al Pacino and Robert De Niro after 1995's Heat!
? Main contention ?
It has been 28 years since the original and time has been treating some of them kindly while the others were not so fortunate. As capable of him as a filmmaker, there is a valid question whether or not he would be able to capture the same magic in the bottle or better yet, something new altogether ...
- Lowlights -
It can't be argued that their best years have already passed and whether or not the state-of-the-art technology (that the budget would certainly carry the burden of financing which Netflix more than gladly to just to work with one of the finest) would be believably bring them back to their younger selves, this is the most ambitious attempt yet since compared to the earlier applications (i.e. in the Curious Cage of Benjamin Button, Tron: Legacy, GotG: Vol. 2, Pirates of the Caribbean and Rogue One), it would be the longest duration onscreen yet. If he himself believe that it would live up to the expectation, that is enough for me. How about you guys?

a case for the virtually turning back the clock and collaborating with the giant streaming platform:
+ Highlights +
As the de-aging technology keep getting better over time, the filmmakers in the near future will be able to overcome the effect of time on the actors and make them look and act virtually as their younger selves or even bring back those who have passed (whether it is unethical or not, that is a question that they would have to face) and reprise their roles or just acting opposing real life performers on set. There will come time whereby we will not being able to differentiate between a computer generated actor and real life one ... it's only a matter of time. + Having one of the leaders of the industry releasing his brand new outing freely (if you didn't take into account the subscription fees of course) to the masses is a modern luxury in and of its own, giving him the platform that would let him cast the widest net possible to reach the audience all around the world and have it available right on their fingertips. ? .
? Main contention ?
The uncanny valley is something to be mindful when dealing with CG-ed properties, especially if applied to real life locations or alongside real people since it's easier to compare them when side by side, allowing the flaws to be magnified.

The secrecy surrounding the analytic makes us wondering of how popular or successful a certain intellectual property is on the streaming platform, forcing us to gauge just based on the buzz around the internet and conversation surrounding it. Now if a full feature is released just like Okja, the industry's measuring stick of box office earnings are now moot hence forcing us to overlook its potential commercial success and instead just enjoy the movie as it is.
- Lowlights -
As good as the technology would eventually be in the future, there will always be those The worst case possible is this movie would not have any theatrical release at all and will be exclusively available on Netflix, robbing the audiences the opportunity of watching it in the biggest screen possible with fellow Scorsese aficionados and most importantly robbing the filmmaker the opportunity to be vying for the Oscar (that this project have the most potential to achieve) and be recognized by his peers.
