10 WWE 2018 Spoilers we already know
I've been meaning to do this for awhile now, going from lists on the internet and give my own perspective on the matter since I always have trouble creating something from sketch. I hope you you guys get a kick out of it:
1. Royal Rumble Winner = SmackDown!
It's the biggest known secret of the management in trying to push Roman Reigns to fill in the gap left by John Cena and it doesn't seem to be stopping this year either as the inevitable main event for the WrestleMania will certainly be him against Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship (or if inexplicably Brock lost the title in Royal Rumble, it could be Braun Strowman but that's just wishful thinking. Not going to be Kane for sure). The Royal Rumble match is there to put over rising talents by using effectively the established wrestlers, not the other way around as it had been for a couple of years now. Since the RAW title contention is already set in motion, SmackDown! on the other hand is up in the air currently and it would put over the 'B' show if their stars won the whole shebang! A dream match for the New Orleans PPV could be AJ Styles against Shinsuke Nakamura!
2. the Hardys Go Solo
The Broken Woken Matt Hardy is now finally in motion and even if we still haven't the final product just yet, it happened because Jeff Hardy was conveniently injured (I do not mean that it was a work, I know he really got injured ... it's just the timing is perfect, is all). When the much more decorated brother eventually comes back (with Royal Rumble looming, it's a perfect opportunity to make a surprise comeback with a massive pop!), they would go solo and off on their separate ways and since there is still a lot of gas in his tanks and still one of the biggest stars in the company, they might want to use his potential to the fullest by letting him survive on his own on the Blue Brand and feuding with the talents there and eventually win the top belt. That's another dream match!
3. Dean Ambrose Goes Heel
Unfortunate injury to one of the constant workers of the company does not affect the fact that this recent SHIELD reunion is tailor made for another betrayal by one of the members and it would only be fitting for the forever babyface, Dean Ambrose (don't even think that they have the audacity to turn Roman Reigns heel now, not even after all the boos). Since the injury is so significant, he would be off on its own and seeing the rest of the members carry on without him, with Jason Jordan on tow. Turning the table on the recent feud between him and Seth Rollins would be a fresh storyline since the latter have excelled as the top RAW babyface now while the former is in dire need of a revamp. What better way to do that than giving the Lunatic Fringe a valid reason to go full, well, lunatic! It's a blessing in disguise that would pay off in the long run ... I hope he comes back stronger than ever!
4. Kurt Angle vs Triple H at WrestleMania
Survivor Series main event last year was full of potential that was not filled, putting over the returning Triple H instead of the upcoming wrestlers (let's not forget he won over Jinder Mahal in India just to confirm their failed forced push of him). In the mix is Kurt Angle that is slowly getting back into the ring back after a resurgence in the 'indie scene', and his betrayal by the Game himself is certainly paving the way for an eventual clash down the line (but without any mention of it whatsoever after the fact, it's not set in stones yet but the buildup could be after Royal Rumble. Being the 'Manager' do not let him to regularly wrestle but maybe after his first single marquee match in the biggest show with a fellow legend, it could be the start of his single run after so many years ... please make it so! Then maybe he could be begin to put over the younger talents.
5. Rousey vs Charlotte
Teases after teases had been given in the past especially on NXT, even with a segment dedicated to the eventual clash between the Four Horsewomen of the WWE Women Division and the UFC Women Division. With the constant rumour of Ronday Rousey's attendance in the ringside is not just for show but rather a strong intention on her part that she is in it for the long haul, reportedly having been hard at work training with fellow wrestlers at the Performance Center to get ready for a tasty surprise entry in the inaugural Royal Rumble, paving the way to fight for the title held by the homegrown talent with obvious pedigree in Charlotte Flair on the biggest stage of them all. If the talents in the octagon transferred into the ring, we could have the next face of WWE in our hands.
6. Asuka Wins the Women's Title
She's not getting a special treatment since coming here from the Land of the Rising Sun, she is just that talented on the mat and her level is simply haven't being met and unrivaled on NXT hence the undefeated run in that division. Although the booking wasn't as strong when she was called up to the main roster, the company know the importance of the streak and keeping it going right until she won her first RAW Women Championship from Alexa Bliss, and based on the recent progression, this is exactly what they have in mind. Whether or not she'll get that shot by winning the Royal Rumble (or maybe that place has been saved for Ronda instead) or maybe even being reserved for a WrestleMania bout, she will get her hands on it sooner and later and that title will be around her waist for a long. long time ... that is until a worthy adversary come to dethrone her. Who could it be ...?
7. John Cena Breaks Ric Flair's Record
Truth be told, the Nature Boy has won more than sixteen World Titles in his whole career but that's the amount that matters to WWE. John Cena has been the face of the company for so long now that he have equal the record by accumulating it throughout his tenure here but since he's been steadily turning his attention towards his acting endeavours (he is returning just after finishing the shooting for Transformers Bumblebee spinoff) and slowly wrapping up his unarguably illustrious run in the company, it's only fitting for his one last run to be with the premier belt once again before he hang up his boots for good (for now at least, he might be returning later on).
8. Lesnar and Roman Headline WrestleMania 34
Following up on the point above, Brock Lesnar has been the undisputed holder of the Universal Title for awhile now and that's because of his overwhelming presence and power between the ropes and of course the constant booking of the undefeated F-5. Even Braun Strowman underwhelmingly being snuffed out from just one of his finisher and you know that the eventual kick out is being reserved for the golden boy himself, Roman Reigns. They are being too predictable in regards to these two wrestlers and if this match does not came to be in the end, I applaud them for going down the road less traveled by them. Until then though, let's just hope that this failed experiment would end eventually... he have the talents, but his position as the brand top guy isn't deserving.
9. Hulk Hogan Returns
Yes, this is a controversial matter since name association would relate Hulk Hogan with racism as a leaked video years ago caught him saying unsavoury things against the African American community. The mere mention of him by the company indicated that there was an attempt to mend things between the tainted legend and the sponsors of this publicly-traded entity. With the 25th Anniversary of RAW fast approaching, that could be the perfect platform for the former face of the whole industry to come back into the limelight to admit his mistakes, mend the past and celebrate the art yet again as the nostalgia factor will be at all time high for the special night.
10. Daniel Bryan Will Wrestle Somewhere
The self-mad superstar of the people, his career has been tragically cut short and he's been grounded down to hosting Talking Smack and then the General Manager to sit out the remaining year of his contract. It is the stance of the medical staff that hasn't softened at all regarding the severity of his head injury, preventing him from stepping into the ring again to wrestle for the outfit, which is why when the contract has finally ended, he would be more than eager to travel elsewhere to put on the boots again, whether for Ring of Honor or NJPW. Regarding the storyline he's currently in, it is slowly building up to an eventual blowup between him and Shane McMahon in one way or another, finally clashing against each other (as all that medical report is revealed to be a work) on probably Wrestlemania, managing his own team against Shane's or maybe getting fired just like that. The American Dragon's eagerness to get back into the ring has been evident in interviews and it would not be a surprise when he is back in the spotlight yet again as a wrestler, not just a side attraction. Yes! Yes! Yes!
