Trailer(s) Effectiveness =

Chance of Success =
80% with the 2015 original residual good graces and the apocalyptic tone.

a case for the Steven Spielberg's beloved dinosaur franchise:
+ Highlights +
Still considered as the signature work of the prominent director of the industry even decades after, perfectly blend wonder and action and thriller together as we are treated on to a wild, fun ride.
? Main contention ?
We saw dinosaurs on the silver screen for the first time in the modern times in its prime and since sadly it would never be matched again ... he moved on eventually. Should we as well in the end?
- Lowlights -
It is hard to capture the same old magic the original first film has, that lightning in the bottle as the followups admittedly would not live up to, making us keep chasing something that would never be.
-
a case for Gareth Edwards' most recent sequel/reboot:
+ Highlights +
A solid albeit inoffensive reentry into the beloved franchise, capturing some of the magic of wonder and amazement while adding a number of thrills and drama aside from updating the visual and premise to fit the current atmosphere, for better or for worse.
? Main contention ?
Regardless of the quality of the film itself, Jurassic World caught fire all across the world as the opportunity to go back into the 'magical' universe after for so long proven to be too tempting to overlook as people keep on watching it over the course of several months. Let's hope the studio would want to produce a better product that would match the level of feedback it received, unlike the Transformers franchise that decrease in quality entry after entry and that downturn finally matched with the decrease in earning for the Last Knight. Let's hope it won't come to that ...
- Lowlights -
As much as we wanted it to be, it would never be the same as what we experienced in Jurassic Park and while the diehard fans of the original would feel it falls short, they have to accept that it would never be the same and it is moving forward in a certain direction without stopping.
--
a case for the continuation of the breaking down of Jurassic World:
+ Highlights +
A change in tone synonymous with the downfall of the park, showcasing the impending threat of nature and the mankind itself towards the reborn dinosaurs ... at least it would be a bit different.
? Main contention ?
The island-shattering volcanic eruption and the creation of hybrid dinosaurs might related to each other in more ways than one, coming off the solid foundation set by Gareth Edwards.
~
Just like how the Force Awakens was the modern attempt to revitalize the saga and the audiences reacted accordingly, the followup would of course understandably not receive the same amount of reception and while the Last Jedi did dwindled a bit, the polarizing direction it went down is the most heated part of the film. Would Fallen Kingdom suffer the same fate when it comes out or would it just be more of the same? With that being said, it would be the talk of the town for sure.
