"If we do nothing, neither are we."
POP's wish list 008 the Shape of Water {Guillermo Del Toro} [2017]
I am a huge fan of Guillermo's latest not just because it is his de facto signature work since Pan's Labyrinth and deservedly up for virtually limitless accolades, but again his love for otherworldly creatures especially the deep blue sea variety shines bright here as the main mute protagonist is in love with a humanoid aquatic creature. It might be a little bit farfetched considering how it is an indie darling and despite not being as well known as other huge studio blockbusters, the prestigious buzz surrounding it should warrant a proper tribute, considering how much his previous works in Hellboy has been adapted already.
> Traits: The main creature is the standout although Sally Field character is another suitable candidate. Oh, don't forget the main antagonist by Michael Shannon, with and sans the two fingers!
Funko focus on the more mainstream IPs since it is a company motivated by profit and that option would certainly provide them the most ... but even if they want to release only him as a convention exclusive for example, I'm sure they would get their money back, and possibly demand for more!
