taking advantage, embracing, double bassing

- 13 Reasons Why - Black Panther - WWE's Braun Strowman
moments of the week 002 & misc list 004
Even if some of them have past more than a week already but since they are still fresh in my mind, I hope they have the same effect for you too. It's a bit late but better late than never:

13 Reasons Why's first strike
Having watched the pilot, you need to keep in mind the mindset of these youths, how malleable their way of thinking are and how the demeaning actions of others against them would affect them. We can see from their actions in response or maybe in this particular case the lack thereof. If there is anything I want you to learn from the series, it is that every action has consequences and if it isn't being confronted and dealt with right away, it would build up in time and when the mountains of stress have been growing until the edge of bursting out, it is only a matter of time when it will come out in an explosion of emotion and aggression, mostly for worse.
Black Panther's vibrant outing
compared to their source materials, the most common criticism of the modern superhero films is that they always look the same, i.e. having identical colour palettes that more than most are muted and somber instead of their original vibrant self. This visual decision has always been done to be in tone with the overall direction the storytelling of each movie is going for as the Marvel Cinematic Universe for example has their films contrasting with each other from Civil War's grounded down and serious clash between the Avengers compared to Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume Two's outlandish hyperspace adventure. With Thor: Ragnarok continued with the latter's trend, I am glad to see that Black Panther smartly would not buck the trend as Ryan Coogler decided to smartly embrace the African culture and history and highlight them by putting them naturally into each frame of the movie. It made me better appreciate how unique the nation of Africa is, using the Marvel platform to the best of its abilities. With Captain Marvel to follow suit, I can't wait to see where MCU will go after this.
WWE's Braun Strowman's double bass performance
Being introduced for as the main henchman of the Wyatt Family, he was fittingly used for his superior brawn prowess over others but over the couple of years, the constant exposure let him to come out of his shell and presents his threatening personality to his definite benefits, giving his character a much needed dimension hence making himself that more relatable, rather than just another charmless nondescript big sweaty man (♬ Vince McMahon likes ... ♫♪). A rising star in the NXT callup talent Elias formerly known as Elias Samson, being surprisingly booked properly for once (buckling the trend set by the writers of both brands that cannot follow up on how well they're written before), having his douchey music-playing act going wonderfully over and now mingling with the upper midcarder and 'fighting' for the chance to fight for the top title on RAW! Which is why the sequence last week between both of them is an excellent culmination of both wrestlers' journeys, combining both acts of music and brawn equal to that moment of magic! Oh, this week they followed it up with a barnburner!

Well, that's all folks! Thank you for your time and please do come back for my future posts! :-)
