POP's wish list 010 Avatar: the Last Airbender {nickelodeon} [February 21st, 2005]
Oh, how I love this highly underrated animated series that have a lot more than bright visuals! Besides the wonderful distinct hand-drawn style, the supernatural premise and the relatable characters across the show. I want to highlight the writing as the main reason I keep coming back for more!

It was really unfortunate that the live action adaptation fell so far from the expectation, so much lower than the usual high standard the series had set throughout his run, having the main director dumbing down the intricate and personal storytelling and leaving a flashy carcass without any substance and charms of the original! When the series will receive its third iteration in the future which I hope will arrive sooner rather than later (don't kid yourself, it will be resurrected in the future ... it's one of their most famous production yet!), maybe the good buzz will bring it back into the limelight that Avatar so richly deserves!
> Viability: below 70% since the sour taste the disappointing M. Night Shyamalan's iteration is still too strong that it forced the series to end prematurely, the negative vibes could be still too strong that it overshadow the original's unrivaled quality. With that being said, this is a kid friendly show!
