Blockers - Into the Breach - Ralph Breaks the Internet

I want to broaden the scope of this particular segment, trying to include trailers and teasers as well since I couldn't find the time to cover them in a separate solo post. With that being said, here goes nothing:
Cock Blockers
[Universal Pictures]
Having watched it a couple of months ago, I can still remember how fun the whole film was and it was all on their ability to make the premise of parents trying to stop their children from having sex on prom night quite an entertaining romp to watch. With a solid central casting in the parents (especially John Cena with a hilarious role) as well as the kid actors that are shining through, the director Kay Cannon able to show a lot of humour with a lot of heart in the storyline of the guardians losing touch of the youth and taking drastic actions in order to control every facet of their life. Understandable decision for them to overplay some of the situations for dramatizations sake since it is a fictional movie but I can actually believe and invest in the relationship between the daughters and the parents. It's a solid comedy outing that would make your day but I'm not sure I can recommend it to be watched with your family members though ...
Into the Breach
[Subset Games]
There are multitudes of current small scale games that I have been playing interchangeably to space out between the much bigger developer games. One of the examples is Into the Breach whereby you play a turn based strategy game with three mechs at a time to defend a piece of land against a wave of insects for a specific number of turns. If you think the name only refer to the monsters breaching out of the ground to terrorize the citizens, there is another layer that sets it apart from the dozens of typical throwback attempts: time travel. From applying the concept to retrofit the conventional game mechanics such as the redo and retry option into in-game abilities to the thematic storyline of having multiple timelines and having the time traveler keep coming back to make the outcome as best as possible for the mankind. Since you can only go back once per round and would have to redo the whole thing if you want to redo the island, this makes that decision as a last gasp option rather than a convenient one and in turns makes every action you take during battle that much more important. I've been redoing a number of times already and even though I'm not sure when will I finish it eventually, I can't wait to go through the motion all over again ...
Ralph Breaks the Internet
[Disney]
Teasers are there to introduce the premise of an intellectual property and while the first couple ones released for the Wreck-It Ralph followup did effectively just that, now we can build upon the foundation that has been laid by introducing the real reason Ralph and Venelope go into the wide world of internet in the first place. Having the need to save the arcade once again while being introduced with virtually limitless online worlds full of limitless possibilities appear to capture the latter's imagination more than the former, hence the central struggle point for the protagonists to deal with together! Without any clear antagonist visible as of yet, we will focus on how this endearing duo tackle this new journey ahead of them and I for once are glad since I watch the movie to see them together in the first place rather than against a central villain such as King Krush from the predecessor.
