An intriguing concept being smartly continued and expanded in different types of medium and using them to the benefit of the storytelling approach, an effective world building of a established universe with newer perspective in line with the followup while providing backstory to the new characters.
? Main contention ?
If only more studios out there with popular intellectual properties would make these kinds of spin-offs to build up momentum and buzz around a new movie or just a separate fan treat i.e. Matrix's Animatrix. I am sure they would like fresh perspective on their beloved movies and tv shows.

It is unfortunate that despite a wonderful effort in their promotional items front, the long-awaited sequel didn't garner as much box office success as it deserved with the universal praise of its quality although it should've been expected from the original's initial reception when it came out.
