A second chance given by a restaurateur to ex-con
off of reddit

What?
A restaurant owner giving former convicts a deservedly second chance in life instead of being ostracized or discriminated by the public simply because of their status and what that implies.
Who?
No matter what they had done in the past that warrant time in the prison small nor big, they had spend their time in confinement to pay and atone for their crime and whether the connotation of former criminals remained true or not, they should always be given a fair chance to rebuild their life back and contribute to the society positively.
How? Why?
Unlike those who complied to the common prejudice, the owner applied to his better judgement and give them that elusive, coveted restart of their lives. Even more noble, he make an effort to help them personally by teaching and developing their personal skills that would benefit the former criminals' rehabilitation into the normal life which in the end proven to be successful as the two hundred that he have helped haven't re-offended at all and return back to jail.
Then? So?
With the end have justified the means, it should at least lessen the negative stigma surrounding these offenders and let them being accepted wholeheartedly by more parts of the surrounding population. Give them a chance.

Lesson Learned:
"No matter what they have done in the past, all they need is a second chance to right their undoings and contribute back to the society."
