The eyes are the window to the soul.

POPs of the day 006 Doctor Strange's Kaecilius, GotG Vol. 2's Yondu Udonta & Monster's the Wolf Man.

Today we are focusing on one of the more prominent characteristics of a Funko POP sculpt: the eyes.

Despite the rather straightforward villain without much character development with simple and non-extraordinary design for his wardrobe, the decision to focus on the eyes is effective in the film and it transitioned wonderfully into the Funko counterpart. It makes the whole POP, being its main attraction and being the perfect representative of the journey he went in the movie. Well done!

? My wish list ? Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2's Yondu Udonta ?

Well, duh ... it is unfortunate he isn't included in the main wave for the GotG but since it might be related to his eventual fate in the sequel, I understand that decision and it could be an exclusive or even a chase but I hope it's just a common release. Everyone loves him in the movie and they would buy it as a tribute for his contribution to the series. "I'm Mary Poppins, y'all!"

- Worst? - Monsters' the Wolf Man -

I was never paid attention to the eyes before but now as I keep on design my own customs, I now believe how important the eyelids are for certain POPs. For example, the eyelids for the Wolf Man makes him look sleepy instead of angry and it could have been fixed with the simple change of the degree. This lazy overlooked mistake should not have been done in the first place ... you can do better than this, Funko!
