Burn, scheme, sleuth, shed, beginning, invade, conclude & rise.
Last Week in Pop Culture 024, 4th week of February 2019
Resetting back after that small hiatus.
Here's my accumulated news list for last week that I used for references for this post.
00. In memoriam: Coy Luther "Luke" Perry III {October 11th, 1966 - March 04th, 2019}
American actor, a teen idol for playing Dylan McKay on the TV series Beverly Hills, 90210.

01. Book of Enchantment, a live-action Disney villain series, is coming to Disney+
After the news of last week's the Offenders, the company keeps on trying to bulk up the offering of the upcoming streaming service and while I'm not familiar with this particular book series, I am certainly interested and if it's anything close to the Mandalorian, imagine the production value and imagine the cast! You can start fan-casting now!

04. Hellboy's new trailer [April 12th]
It looks decent enough to me. The backlash are a bit prematured ... Don't you think so?.
----
05. Pokémon Detective Pikachu's second trailer [May 10th]
You know the storyline already if you've played the game. But seeing Mewtwo being 'brought to life' like that is such a treat! This is certainly one of my surprised anticipated film of the year.
-----
07. Elton John & Taron Egerton duet of Tiny Dancer for Rocketman [May 31st]
This would be interesting to see how much it will differ with last year's Bohemian Rhapsody, with the original artist still alive and the actor is actually singing the song himself. Bare in mind that the director for the biopic, Dexter Fletcher, actually filled in for the fired Bryan Singer to finish the Queen biopic so he's certainly in his element. I believe Taron can pull off award-worthy performance as well!
-------
14. X-Men: Dark Phoenix's new trailer [June 07th]
After all the setback from postponement and reshoots, it's unfortunate for this and New Mutants to suffer in the wake of the Disney-Fox deal but I think it looks set to be at least a fitting swansong for the franchise. The trailer looks decent to me but again the backlash is deafening. Would you watch it when it's finally out later this year?.
