At the expense of other people's tragedy.

Morbid Curiosity
[ human event ]
It's been awhile ... Not doing it weekly or as weekly as the other segments just because I want to touch upon only on subjects that I can really ruminate on. Today I have just the exact thing. Last week there was a horrific shooting in a mosque in Christchurch, New Zealand and I found out about it on the local news with that first-person perspective of the shooter himself going through his weapons at the back of his car and walking calmly to the mosque, and thankfully it cut just before he pulled the trigger. Full disclosure, my morbid curiosity urged me to just Googled the incident because that aforementioned video was actually streaming through Facebook Live but again thankfully the site was actually doing something right and quickly pulled it down after it was widely known.
The problem here is there was a period of time before it was taken down and in it other users were able to download the video (the reason here is unknown really ... there is no sane reason here!) and then right away uploading it to other video-sharing platform as mirrors. I know that people will always be curious of anything and it is still unknown why they will always look forward to see tragedy, i.e. drivers slowing down to see an accident. This is much more emphasized in this particular matter whereby the video platforms will always do the right thing in taking down any mirror video of the event and people who thinks they are doing others a service by keep uploading this one after another. Okay, let me break down why this is wrong on so many levels ...
The shooter did this heinous act to make himself and his massacre known to the whole world and those who keep uploading this video is doing him a favour and doing the victims and their families a disservice. The longer this video is available online, the wider the audiences will it reach, making this hate crime much more prevalent and spreading discrimination against Islam idealism to more extreme thinkers. The other main reason is WHY DO YOU WANT TO SEE PEOPLE BEING SHOT DOWN?! Will it benefit you in any way?! Are you satisfied after providing the video to others?! Are you satisfied after seeing the video yourself?! Do you even think of the Muslims that lost their lives that day?! Do you even think of how their peaceful lives were being cut short in a mosque during a Friday prayer?! They have families that they left behind and the next of kin will not be able to grief properly knowing the video their relative of significant other died in a shooting is still out there accessible for others to see. Wow. Thank you for your service. Thank you for not giving up! Yeah. I hope you will get what you deserved.
Nope, I'm feeling really sad right now of a certain sector of mankind ...

a case for the wrong kind of resilience:

Said my piece already above. Do I really need to spell it out for you?!
