a case for the franchise:
+ Positive +
Predates Batman in being the first masked vigilante that started and even originated from a radio serial.
? Main contention ?
As the hero is originally a wealthy newspaper publisher, the modern reinterpretation of that premise would need to be appropriate and believable,
the campy and kitschy take on it with the 2011 real life adaptation would be out of place in today's comic book movie climate.
- Negative -
His loyal partner and driver, Kato, who's Asian just essentially for his stereotype martial arts mastery and an inferior part if compared to him.
--
a case for the director:
+ Positive +
Having great success with action movies in the past in Warrior and the Accountant, his deft handling of the balance between the action and the heart would be a suitable match for the franchise,
it was his dream project and his more contemporary and serious take on the premise would be fitting today if executed correctly.
? Main contention ?
The much-needed changes could be too much that it ended up being detriment to the overall project.
- Negative -

---
a case for the producer:
+ Positive +
What an excellent track record across his career, having a hand in numerous successful projects (Drive, La La Land),
earning himself the coveted position in producing some of the Disney's live-action reboot because of his previous adaptations (Scott Pilgrim vs the World, Into the World), making him being here just perfect.
? Main contention ?
his involvement in each project may vary and how much he affects each of them cannot be pinpoint exactly.
- Negative -

- Synopsis -
Green Hornet, with his sidekick Kato, use martial arts as well different weapons like gas guns to fight crime, riding in their car the "Black Beauty."

“Batman upside down meets Bourne inside out by way of [American Sniper hero] Chris Kyle ... the anti-Bruce Wayne ...” who’s struggling with uncovering (and accepting) the truth of his father. O’Connor aims to make Britt’s background a military one, with the character having served in something akin to the CIA Special Activities Division as opposed to SEAL Team 6.

Inhumans
TV Show with IMAX
[Labor Day 2017]
Chance of Success =  70%
What?
Marvel Television, Disney/ABC TelevisionGroup and IMAX will team for the new Inhumans series, which will film entirely on IMAX cameras and premiere in a two-week theatrical run at the beginning of September 2017, before moving into ABC’s fall line-up. The deal marks the first time a live-action television series has premiered via theatrical run before its network debut. It is also IMAX’s first time co-financing a TV series.
-
a case for the franchise:
+ Positive +
Was originally to be adapted into a full feature film scheduled for 2018,
had a big through line running through the MCU, especially in Agents of SHIELD,
the more cosmic and grand take on mutant spanning thousand of years into the past & even interplanetary and intergalactic adventures.
? Main contention ?
With the characters having superhuman powers and even godly abilities, them being included should be handled delicately to ensure fair and reasonable inclusion,
having the biggest tie with the main characters of SHIELD and their 'inhuman' origins, the movie should have a solid foundation and relatable storyline with them and making the build up is worth it.
- Negative -
Being another take on the mutant genre, getting the spotlight just as a substitute of X-Men that's in Fox's hold would undermine the series' reputation and its capability to be a backbone for a whole Universe.
--
a case for the studio:
+ Positive +
Being the megapower of Marvel's Cinematic Universe, they take extra care to handle every movie that follows and ensure the quality would at least be acceptable in their high level since the track record has been solid so far,
? Main contention ?
The initial 2018 release for the movie was pushed back to allow the second Ant-Man movie to come out first which in turn drops it out of the schedule (with the separation between the movie and tv division making it more tricky), making their initial intention to focus on Inhumans being pushed aside for a duo adventure of Ant-Man and the Wasp
- Negative -
the movies now all have the same Marvel formula without much derivations off of them, which comes with it certain advantages and disadvantages.
---
a case for the tv network:
+ Positive +
Having a long running hold on the American broadcast media hence more recognizable in the eyes of the audiences.
? Main contention ?
Being a long-running company, their inability to change up their way of running shows to fit their tones would affect how they're made.
- Negative -
Couldn't find the audiences for the deserving Agents of SHIELD that keeps getting better especially with Ghost Rider on tow, risking the same fate of also excellent Agent Carter.
----
a case for IMAX:
+ Positive +
A successful company based on the highest cinema definition since 2002, still holding strong today as the unshaken leader.
? Main contention ?
The foreign land of television would be a new and brave venture for them.
- Lowlights -
Collaboration of the first kind could end up in more ways than one.
----
a case for the one-of-a-kind television show:
+ Positive +
The confidence in the show with straight-to-order,
debut in more than 1,000 IMAX theaters in 74 countries for two weeks before being in the network's fall lineup,
the first two episodes would be shot entirely in IMAX cameras as well as subsequent action scenes for the rest of the season,
the brave investment by IMAX to pay for the two episodes which offsets the hefty cost of making a pilot and starting a tv show,
the cross-platform push by the three companies would of the show as a must not-miss event in their marketing campaigns.
? Main contention ?
The foreign land of television would be a new and brave venture for them but showed their eagerness by approaching Marvel first,
their recent effort of giving Game of Thrones (s04e9-e10) a big screen treatment was a success and give credence for this effort,
the first time a tv series having its premiere on the big screen, allowing abc to promote it as 'a monumental event' and stand tall as a standout in the crowded fall tv space,
potential setting on the moon!
- Lowlights -
If it's not successful, it would be a detriment to all of them.
