A Relationship between a Father and a Daughter

What?

An automobile commercial revolving around a family and the journey through the life of a father and his daughter, focusing on how they interacted with each other instead of ... you know, the cars.

Who?

The company decided to take a backseat in their own video and instead letting us follow a family with their product as their family car and how they used it throughout their lives.

How?

It might be a disservice for the brand itself for not being at the front and center of the commercial but by being there every step of the way without actually hindering our immersion in their story and only get the spotlight when it mattered at the end.

Why?

Today's trend in car commercials of sleek and shiny appearences actually distance themselves with their fabricated and artificial outlook while this more realistic and natural take let us see how these cars would actually be used in real life.

Then?

If the question was on the relationship between the father and his daughter, the former was standing tall (or sitting down) besides the latter through all the hardships of her growing up and finally giving her away. If the question was on the company itself, they were portrayed to have a reliable product and even in the end provide high-end technology to ensure full safety for the passengers.

So?

You might view the commercial as a cheap trick to tug at your heartstrings but they actually try to break down any semblance of corporate shenanigan and justs show their vehicles in a positive light and capable in providing as a stable and safe transportation for their users.

Lesson Learned:

I'll be there for you ... every step of the way.
