The announcement in April of 2015 of Telltale Games developing a game using the Marvel license set to debut in the year 2017 is now being revealed to be a Guardians of the Galaxy game with its development being affected by the strike of SAG-AFTRA, a voice acting union.

a risk taken by the studio on the director's take on the not well-known premise that proved to be a massive home-run

having the constraint to play only in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and follow the already  established storyline, it would be a gamechanger's option for the developer to choose from: using the established timeline of the MCU or using the established characters but putting them into another grand adventure apart from the movie

the now prevalent issue of non fleshed-out villains in the MCU should be rectified in this game adaptation

the most recent success of Tales from the Borderlands was because of its particular Universe itself and also its cast of colorful characters having to work together despite their differences, just like GotG
