How to Train your Dragon:
the Hidden World
Dreamworks
[March 1st, 2019]
Trailer(s) Effectiveness 95% for expanding upon the established mythology and teasing a definite epic conclusion of the trilogy.

I will cover the Comic-Con trailers soon ... I promise!
How to Train your Dragon came out of nowhere for me as an actually adept animated outing by Dreamworks (it's not a putdown but rather a welcoming surprise in an industry monopolized by Disney and Pixar's mostly stellar works) for once with its established and unique dragon universe and a solid throughline of familial and friendship relations between the characters and their dragons as well, certainly carving their own niche and actually creating a solid foundation for a possible franchise. They did just that with a sequel that builds upon the first outing and enriching its own canon and by the looks of it, this most recent third entry looks set to culminate this surprising trilogy in a wonderful epic bow! Seeing how much the humans have developed while still finding out so many more of the dragon world that they haven't reach before makes me want to see them finish up this particular storyline on a definite high since I'm quite fond of Hiccup and Toothless particularly. I hope that Hollywood learn something out this: let the connected universe happens naturally instead of making a plan that would not materialized in the end. Remember Universal Dark Universe?

Chance of Success
90% with an established fanbase for a beloved franchise as a solid alternative from the annual works from Disney/Pixar.

a case for the surprised dragon rider trilogy:
+ Highlights +
such a heartwarming journey between the characters with the relationship with father, the friends and the dragons and how the world around them change and evolve from one film to another.
? Main contention ?
the could go a lot of different places with the existing premise ...
- Lowlights -
such a fully realised world that it is a waste to end this early but it's better to end on a high... .
-
a case for a fitting end to a surprising hit series:

+ Highlights +
lush visuals and tense action sequences being tied together with the heartwarming relationship between the duo and now the biggest threat that they would need to overcome with the help of the villagers and their dragons.
? Main contention ?
how much they have grown and now seeing them being together until the end ... I will cry for sure!
- Lowlights -
might be a bit retread on the storyline from the previous stint but it would be an all out war to end the trilogy on a bang
