January of 2019's Comprehensive Movie List & Previews
Here we go! It's a bit late with a couple of movies debuted already but the month is long! Which one that you look forward to the most on this list? Mine is of course Glass but there are other options out here.
Escape Room [January 04th]
"Six adventurous strangers travel to a mysterious building to experience the escape room -- a game where players compete to solve a series of puzzles to win $10,000. What starts out as seemingly innocent fun soon turns into a living nightmare as the four men and two women discover each room is an elaborate trap that's part of a sadistic game of life or death."
It's out now! Are you going to watch it?
-
a Dog's Way Home [January 11th]
"A dog embarks on a 400-mile journey home after it's separated from its owner, Lucas, who is an aspiring medical student."
Instead of crying by yourself watching Netflix's Dogs, why don't cry together in cinema?

Iron Sky: the Coming Race [January 16th]
Well, as I've said it before, it's coming! At least premiering in Poland first ...
-
Close [January 18th] (Netflix)
"A bodyguard and counter-terrorism expert Sam takes a job protecting Zoe a rich young heiress. Neither party is keen on the arrangement until a violent kidnap forces them to go on the run. Rapace's character is based on that of Jacquie Davis, one of the world’s real-life leading female bodyguards, whose clients have included JK Rowling, Nicole Kidman and members of the British royal family."
Huh, I didn't know that before ...
-
Glass [January 18th]
"Bruce Willis returns as David Dunn as does Samuel L. Jackson as Elijah Price, known also by his pseudonym Mr. Glass. Joining from Split are James McAvoy, reprising his role as Kevin Wendell Crumb and the multiple identities who reside within, and Anya Taylor-Joy as Casey Cooke, the only captive to survive an encounter with The Beast. Following the conclusion of Split, Glass finds Dunn pursuing Crumb’s superhuman figure of The Beast in a series of escalating encounters, while the shadowy presence of Price emerges as an orchestrator who holds secrets critical to both men."
This is my first film that I look forward to the most this year! I should watch Unbreakable first, right?
-
the Kid Who would be King [January 25th]
"Old-school magic meets the modern world when young Alex stumbles upon the mythical sword Excalibur. He soon joins forces with a band of knights and the legendary wizard Merlin when the wicked enchantress Morgana threatens the future of mankind."
Attack the Block was a great feature debut for Joe Cornish, and while this is more upbeat and juvenile, I think it will be an entertaining watch at the least.
