Tips, see Thursday 032 & misc list 232
I might as well try to give my insight into this phenomenon...
Playing a number of games concurrently have its fair share of positives and negatives but here's my knowhow on how to make it work for you:
#082: variety is key
I always have a number of games in varying genres available at my disposal at the same time: from TPA to FPS to TBS to sidescroller to RPG. Not fond of RTS yet but having diverse choices really make the experience that much more enjoyable. Every genre have their own styles and mechanics with every developer having their own unique spin to it, allowing me to experience something new every time I pick a game out of the lineup.
#083: just right
With that being said, finding just the right amount is crucial here since every one have their own specific limit. Mine is around six and one more would be too much for me. If it's too little to you, you might not feel enthusiastic to delve into each of them but when there is just too much, you will feel bogged down by the sheer quantity and will feel tired just thinking of having to play each of the games one by one. Remember: balance is key!
#084: brush up
Okay, if you're playing point-and-click games more than the button=based games, the simple controls should not be hard to wrap your head around when you bounce from one property to another but when it is the other way around, it is always helpful to look through the button-mapping right before you play them and let muscle memory help you get acquaintance with the familiar experience once again. It's not a crime to look for help, okay?
