I've been meaning to review this whole series when it debuted one by one episode since I know they will differ with each other so much. Now I'm finally getting back to it and will finish watching the whole thing (was waiting for this review to do so):

Sonnie's Edge
TV-MA | 17 min 14 sec
(action x cyberpunk x monster)
Starting with this particular episode is a smart decision to me since you jumped right into it for this mature animated anthology with all the gore and slight nudity. The concept of mini-Kaiju fighting that's controlled by a human pilot with his/her mind ala Pacific Rim is novel but the execution here is impeccable with the world class CGI technology being used to excellent effect from realistic human characters to the overall presentation of neon lights and effective cyberpunk aesthetic. There's even a surprising twist that was the cherry on top of this wonderful appetiser.

Three Robots
PG-13(?) | 11 min 36 sec
(futuristic apocalyptic dark comedy)
After a full-fledged action, a change of pace to essentially comedy is a great decision especially in representing the variety in this anthology. Having three robots with distinct personalities seeing the post-apocalyptic world and interacting with them and of course each other is just so much fun for me that I won't mind seeing them again in the next season. The implication of the ending might be a little more interesting to as an avid cat lover myself but their meta-commentary in this cities that they're seeing for the first time while having clear human traits in a world where human is extinct is so delicious to me.

thWitness
TV-MA | 12 min 06 sec
(crime x thriller x time loop)
When I said the tech engine from Blur Studio is really powerful (you can see the first Deadpool's CGI as their first successful foray at Hollywod), here is the perfect representation of their potential if the first episode isn't enough to convince you. The almost lifelike characters are playing in a highly realistic world just sucks me in right in, especially with that opening scene. Golly gee! The visual style is really the driving force here from specific art direction to the camera framing to the vibrant colours, everything fits perfectly with each other to make a wonderfully dizzying experience. Oh, full disclosure: this is really using that Mature tag to the fullest! Be careful!
