+ Positive +
Having been heavily involved with the Second World War, his just as extraordinary personal life would be interesting to see if translated well onto the big screen.
? Main contention ?
With a number of controversies also under his belt, his tricky history should be deftly handled if to be adapted correctly and well.
- Negative -
Depending on your own perspective, his contributions in the War might be overshadowed by his shortcomings during his tenure.

Established career spanning a wide arrange of genres and diverse roles, as different as it can be from one to another and using different aspect from his repertoires.
? Main contention ?
Not having a lot of offers that would get him the elusive Oscar, this possible award-worthy role would push him even more to give his all.
- Negative -
Instead of picking an actor with similar builds and looks to him, the role is given to someone who doesn't resembles him at all ... but Gary Oldman has the ability to embody Winston Churchill just as close as Daniel Day-Lewis portraying Abraham Lincoln.

a case for the biopic:
+ Positive +
Having a proven and capable lead actor leading the way, the uncanny resemblance of him in the still picture have given this take that much more possibility in actually succeeding in his portrayal,
supporting him is a solid cast full of experienced actors and newcomers full of potential (i.e. Ben Mendelsohn as King George VI and Lily James as Elizabeth Nel),
an untapped premise for a full length studio motion picture that would publicly shone the light and at least educate people on what had happened.
? Main contention ?
Being faithful to his real-life endeavors or tweaking it to be more cinematic and entertaining viewing experience, it needs to find that perfect balance.
- Negative -
The director's more current filmography has been patchy at best but his award-winning works before would suggest he has the potential to pull it off and return to form.

Following on the proven success of Godzilla, this introduction of the bipedal giant would be comparably more fast paced and action focused, introducing and utilizing the monsters earlier after learning from previous shortcomings (i.e. Peter Jackson's slow starter and romance filled & Godzilla's teasing bonanza),
full of action with plenty of monsters for the humans and the titled creature to fight with, as the island would give the armies a familiar setting to fight in but against more extraordinary enemies,
using the sense of scale effectively comparing the gun-toting soldiers against the bigger-than-life monstrosities while the forests and the mountains looks comparably tiny with the alpha male around.
? Main contention ?
The clashing tone between the first and the second trailer might encourage some to question whether one would overpower the other and whether a perfect balance have been found in the final cut.
- Negative -
Stacked cast of characters and monsters might be too much to fill into the first introductory film of the famed icon.

a case for Kong and the shared universe:
+ Positive +
Much needed change from the last iteration by King Kong from looking closer to a common gorilla with all hands and feet on the ground to closer to the original bipedal look in the 1933 classic,
further away from the natural look would play into how the creature is being portrayed from feeling familiar and sympathy to an essentially enlarged version of an animal to feeling equal amazement and horror when seeing a humanoid giant standing tall with the physical characteristics of a gorilla.
? Main contention ?
Successful reintroduction of Godzilla showcasing its superiority against other lesser monsters suffering from the similar side effects from human's ignorance, the also similar case in this movie causing the same effects to the animals on the island would tie in both movies and definitely would play into how these two giants would face each other in the upcoming Versus movie down the line.
- Negative -
Being in the same universe, the inevitable constraint could affect how far this movie could go on its own without being hampered to its own detriments.

Rita Repulsa & Alpha
in new Power Rangers Movie
[March 24th, 2017]Chance of Success = well above 75%
-
a case for the new Rita Repulsa:
+ Positive +
A capable actress with established career and proven box office records, Elizabeth Banks would effectively played a menacing threat against the newcomers and lead them throughout,
the huge departure from the original character in the television show with needed makeover to suit current superhero movie climate, changing the appearance and how she is portrayed which would safely assumed to tie heavily into the storyline.
? Main contention ?
The color and the staff (especially what's in the middle at the top), it could be a new twist on the Green Ranger angle, with [Possible Spoiler!] her being the former Green Ranger which has been corrupted to serve the ones she used to fight against, with such lethal results (that was confirmed by herself in the trailer) while the staff is possibly used to keep the Green medallion at bay and under control from turning to the other side again. [Possible Spoiler!]
- Negative -
As cheesy and campy as the original villain was, the original's quirks and charms might not be kept in favor of a more traditional but effective version of the big bad.

Well ... hm ... staying true to their overall direction of embracing the alien origin of the franchise, he (it?) surely looks more alien than a robot (as seen below) but how it would tie into the movie is still up in the air.
? Main contention ?
Since the alien angle would be heavily used in the movie, his origin could play into where the Power Ranger's powers come from.
- Negative -
Just look at that ... hopefully it would look better in 'real-life'.
