a case for the franchise:
+ Positive +
An excellent original space opera RPG game trilogy,
a sprawling storyline combining almost every species from across the galaxy against a common apocalyptic enemy,
breathing and lively world full of diverse races of aliens and expansive mythology,
the charismatic Commander Shepherd is being supported by a diverse and solid cast of supporting characters full of personalities and conflicting idealism.
? Main contention ?
Three endings with immensely different effects on the universe as a whole: how would our playthrough would play into this new chapter (i.e. Dragon Age),
as the playstyle keeps to the same formula, the needed change would be crucial in breathing in a new life into the franchise and a sense of something new in a familiar setting.
- Negative -
Going with the same formula for the gameplay and storyline without much deviations from one iteration to another might feel monotonous and repetitive for some,
the rather absurd way the side missions of NPCs being conveyed to you in the most random way imaginable while the side characters' loyalty missions although unique and inventive for some but too formulaic and generic for the rest (learn from the best: the Witcher 3's excellent side missions and how natural they're written into the storyline).

a case for the new anthology:
+ Positive +
Taking place well after the first adventure with the original protagonist, the more than a half of a millennium years buffer time after the first trilogy would ensure the finale would take effect in time and reverberates through the galaxy and influence your playthrough,
having the opportunity to play with the newest graphics engine at the highest end of the industry, there would be more worlds to explore and the scope should at least increase and use it ti its fullest potential.
? Main contention ?
Going in tandem with the original storyline, this particular direction would present itself as an interesting perspective on the already established franchise, playing with the old mythology and introducing new elements while hopefully tying in one of the three massive ending of the trilogy,
adding two main characters to choose from that are related to each other, this natural connection between them would play into their relationship as the player would choose between them, a brother and a sister, as their gender and expertise would definitely affect how the game is played.
- Negative -
Not being able to continue on the journey of Commander Shepherd despite how actually it ended in the third game, his influence on the galaxy should at least be felt in this new expedition.

- Plot -
The game takes place 600 years after the events of the first three Mass Effect games, in the Andromeda Galaxy. The player character's intergalactic journey began during the time in which Mass Effect 2 takes place, separating the new setting from the events of the third game. Players choose from either a male or a female sibling with the other continuing to feature in the story. They are the children of Alec Ryder – an N7 special forces soldier – and designated as a Pathfinder, an operative tasked with discovering new planets for the Human species to colonize. They will explore an open world galaxy aboard the starship Tempest.

the Walking Dead
Season Three
(Telltale Games)
[December 20th, 2016]
Chance of Success =  95%
-
a case for the first two seasons:
+ Positive +
An engaging journey alongside Lee and then Clementine, dealing with the epidemic firsthand and how the fallout affected the humans for the worse,
the themes of family and sticking together and staying strong against adversity despite the troubled background of the former and the restrictive age of the latter,
the perfect balance of tone between dread and hope in every predicament the protagonist(s) had to go through with equal amount gore and action as well as effective character development that made the players attached to the one and only Clementine!
? Main contention ?
The small established connections between the two seasons as the jumps in the timeline were to follow the growth of Clementine with returning character(s) to tie them together but another time jump for the third iteration would be interesting to see as far as the newly improved engine and new storyline are concerned,
as the playstyle keeps to the same formula, the needed change would be crucial in breathing in a new life into the franchise and a sense of something new in a familiar setting.
- Negative -
Restrictive and unchanged Telltale formula for the gameplay and storytelling would deter others who couldn't get the hang of it or bothered by them,
the limited gameplay and visual was definitely because of the aging engine that's showing its aging capability.
--
a case for the third season:
+ Positive +
Improved game engine would give the developer more processing power to play with and hopefully open up the world for the characters to play in,
the possibility of a longer and larger third season, confirmed by Telltale's Job Stauffer,
two playable characters to choose from (just like in Tales from the Borderlands) which would be worrying but still high hopes for the direction since the success in the aforementioned game,
as seen in the trailer, Clementine was missing most of her left ring finger, having possible physical repercussions on the main character because of the player's own choice would give them definitely more impacts on her/him and us.? Main contention ?
Being in almost at the same timeline of the current comic, the confirmation of comic-related events happening in the game and even some comic series characters showing up would be foreshadowing on other aspects from the original series to make the transition into the game's storyline,
as the play style keeps to the same formula, the needed change would be crucial in breathing in a new life into the franchise and a sense of something new in a familiar setting.
- Negative -
The inevitable use of same formula for the gameplay and storyline but hopefully being taken into consideration by them to spice it up without feeling stale and retreading of the same shticks,
having the spotlight being ripped away from Clementine or at least shared with another character would bring up the possibility of overshadowing her by others which would be the worst nightmare for those who follow her journey from the start.
