Cars 3

+ Positive +
Going with the now signature trope of anthromorphofized inanimate objects as a concept but building up a believable, coherent world full of humanistic characters with engaging storyline,
using the real life background of the automobile industry and the US locale as the main stage,
equating the protagonist's journey with the usual sport hero trope albeit with the twist of focus on the cars themselves.
? Main contention ?
The car sport genre is really specific as it is and seeing the direction they went for Cars 2, what else could they do with the concept?
- Negative -
The rushed follow-up is every part the embodiment of a 'cash-grab' is just a disgraced shell of the original.

+ Positive +
With the same background of a rally circuit, the rather surprisingly more realistic and 'gritty' reimagining of the concept as the crash imagery was as close as the real life collision between the cars.
? Main contention ?
As the original protagonist still present but without the usual cartoonish sheen and shine, how drastic would the change be? based on the tagline, everything!
- Negative -
The first two movies focus on entertaining the more younger audiences, but would this change be accepted by them as well as appealing to the more mature demographic or would it deter them from it as the parents would deemed it to be too 'graphic(?)' for their children?

Power Rangers' Zords
[March 24th, 2017]Chance of Success = well above 75%
a case for the reboot:
+ Positive +
Different and new take on the famed franchise with much needed modern update and more focus on the alien origin,
the more serious tone ala Josh Trank's Chronicle grounded the outlandish premise and make them more relatable, giving the extraordinary that much more impact.
? Main contention ?
How well would all these elements be together since the original formula has been going well for years if a bit monotonous and stale?
- Negative -
As most part of the original signature looks of the rangers and the franchise itself has been changed, the original tone and feel would never be the same for the modern reinterpretation

a case for the Zords:
+ Positive +
Keeping the signature colors and distinct species for each Zord of each Ranger, the distinct shape of the original species is still prevalent in the design while the more mechanical and alien structures define the final looks,
according to the poster, the sizes of the Zords don't stray too far from the original as the Yellow Ranger and her Saber-tooth Zord at the foreground indicated.
? Main contention ?
Although the Mega Zord's final form could be seen in the already released toys (as well as the Zords), it is common knowledge that these mass-produced products are the simplest form of the robots as they could make it to ensure the fastest way to make them ... the motion picture version could've been totally different than their smaller counterparts.
- Negative -
Keeping the Zords away from the spotlight for now could make the fans anxious to see them but it is for the best since they are a plethora of new trailers being released at the end of the year and to not being lost in the shuffle, they are going to hold back as much as you can.

the Hulk & Thor
in Thor Ragnarok
[November 3rd, 2017]Chance of Success = well above 75%
-
a case for the franchise:
+ Positive +
Being the more regal side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the highly imaginative world and full of rich lore gives the audiences a new and different perspective of the superhero genre,
the intimate and personal storyline revolving around the relationship between Loki and Thor and their fathers Odin presents the most interesting throughline and the best villain in MCU yet.
? Main contention ?
As the first movie being a personal journey for the protagonist while the second being the more inconsequential, where could they go from here on out?
- Negative -
The quality of the movies has been going down between the original and the sequel although they provide an adequate foundation for the next iteration.

a case for the Ragnarok:
+ Positive +
Going full interplanetary adventure away from the established Avengers Universe down on Earth, they are at their most free to go on a full solitary adventure not tie too strongly with the others while tangentially(?) related to the the throughline of Thanos in MCU,
following the events in the Dark World and Age of Ultron, a road trip across the galaxy for Hulk and Thor together would be a different dynamic between the two as they encounter a number of aliens and involved in their storyline that would be connected with the latter's own world while the former would be the audience substitute in the movie as he is now the alien in other being's universe,
according to the leaked promotional art, this is how they would looked fully in gladiator garbs and armors, complete with a battle hammer for Hulk and surprisingly a couple of swords (and finally his signature helmet!) for Thor without his trusty Mjolnir ... this is all because they're forced to fight in behest of Jeff Goldblum's character, Grandmaster, (following roughly the Planet Hulk comic book storyline) although the official storyline hasn't been released yet.
? Main contention ?
Sharing the screen time with another Avenger, how much would the storyline revolves around the God of Thunder?
- Negative -
It is possible they're going a bit overboard in their direction.

a case for the director:
+ Positive +
Quirky humour and unconventional style of the director would be a nice fresh perspective on the universe (ala James Gunn's GotG),
his deft hands in directing a number of genres (vampire, adventure) is shown in his short of where Thor was during Captain America Civil War.
-
? Main contention ?
The conversion to the first big studio film for the director would be the ultimate variable although the studio's current track record has been excellent so far with the Russo brothers for Captain America the Winter Soldier.
- Negative -

Humour is subjective and although his is almost universally accepted, there would be people who would be put off by it, however far-fetched that would be.
