What?
A new Amazon Prime commercial effectively promoting their ware in guise of a beautiful relationship between two men of faith of different religions but the same respect and admiration of each other, punctuating with the sweet ending highlighting the service and the friendship as well.
Who?
Two older men who have been the leaders in spreading their belief to others seemingly having a friendly conversation over a cup of tea and notice that they both have knee problems, they both secretly gives each other a gift to remedy that.
How?
With the same approach as a previously mentioned commercial as well as not afraid in using 'taboo' issues in mass media i.e. religion. Amazon smartly uses their difference in beliefs as the background and highlight their friendship with the in depth conversation and finally their mutual worry for each other's health, using their service to deliver gifts that would help in their practice.
Why?
A divided time especially now, the company wanted to commentate on current issue and highlight the equality in practicing religion and how a meaningful relationship would transcend belief itself.
Then?
I myself have a Christian friend and never once our religions ever come out as a hindrance in our friendship.
So?
Take a look of yourself. If you've ever have any prejudice against others because of their religion or race or anything else for that matter, please think again why you're feeling in that certain way and hopefully you would change for the better.
