a charismatic lead with a penchant for action roles (Dothraki in Game of Thrones and Aquaman in Justice League) with a director familiar with extraordinary premises (Journey 2 the Mysterious Island and San Andreas).
? Main contention ?
not much substance in the overall storyline of the series with a barebone thread connecting all the gameplays and mechanics which are really the main reason the game is played although just like how the John Wick franchise is loved more for its action than the overall storyline (although the Continental and the world around it is certainly a huge plus), a solid movie around the adrenaline-fueled premise could produce the same kind of result,
the more gravity and physic-defying aspect of the premise i.e. the protagonist's grappling hook is the signature mechanic of the franchise but whether or not they're going all in on it or maybe tone it down, action sequences in the veins of the recent Fast and Furious would not be out of place here.
- Negative -
there are more viable projects surrounding more world renowned game franchises out there but since this particular trend hasn't find any success yet, this possible action blockbuster project has the most chance to succeed in the eyes of the studio heads.
