different method for the same concept

Selective Breeding = GMO
from imgur
What?
The basic concept of altering the genetic codes of any produce, whether they're fruits, vegetables and even animals, is being frowned upon because of its 'invasive' nature and altering their physicality and characteristics although it's actually originated from our ancestor's action years ago.
Who?
Farmers and experts in plants and all of their intricacies worked together to try to combine two different products to make a better hybrid, the best combination of both things and this specific method is being applied today although in its updated version that's being unjustly treated.
How?
By using the current advanced technology and today's better understanding of the genomes that made them what and who they are, these more intricate and delicate procedures are done in the lab to ensure more fine-tuned results that would enhance the product in every way to benefit the end users, us humans.
Why?
The usual produce actively used as human staple and even the results of earlier selective breeding still need to be 'upgraded' per say, to be for example more durable under more threatening conditions and more life longevity, helping nature in our own ways to produce products naturally with only specific guides to go down specific routes.
Then?
More than most of the people criticizing this particular method simply view it as altering existing flora and fauna for the sake of it and it could even have serious side effect to the consumers even though the products of earlier selective breeding have been used globally and even accepted as the only version that's synonymous with the names of the fruits effectively shown in the picture above.
So?
Taking things for granted cause you to overlook how things around you came to be in the first place, letting you have a false pretense on a certain topic that when you have the proper knowledge to understand it, you will know the full extent of how far this method has been used and affect our lives.
Lesson Learned:
"Look back retroactively at your favorite fruits or produce and see where they are originated."
