Getting Started 022 Belated Hari Raya Malay getup (Syawal) {Islam} <#009>
Well, better late than never, right? I promised before that I would make a Funko Pop version of my wardrobe when celebrating Hari Raya Aidil Fitri but that month has already passed now. A promise is a promise and I came to deliver!
If you're not familiar with this particular clothes, it is a one set with the long sleeve collared shirt and matching satin pants, as the obligatory golden buttons to button the collar up (Google
baju Melayu for real life comparison). The
songkok on top of my head is the symbol of Melayu culture or Malay that has been worn for centuries now and I am proud to wear it when I go for Friday prayer every week. Oh, I would wear a polished leather shoes just to complete the look. FYI, this is way too 'official' of a look for me and I usually dressed just like my previous version that I posted before, as casual as I can be.
Do you know what I'm holding in my hand there? If you've been around here during Raya, it should be obvious. Just like
angpow in Chinese New Year, it is an envelope filled with money (or as much as I want to give) being given to younger siblings or relatives or maybe just random people coming for
raya. Truth be told, I am not in a position to be so fortunate to have disposable income to give away but I am striving to be one in the future, I hope. Oh, I add a little more details of my own face with sharper cheek and chin (I think I am not as round as in
that first version) and nose as well, my prominent pimple scars and my own mole on the right side of my nose and that little scar on my forehead caused by a certain tick from the nearby paddy fields (I couldn't remember the exact name of it ... it made my forehead ballooned up to the point of covering my left eye and shut itself down for almost a week I believe). I think everyone have their own shortcomings and I want to represent myself as it is, with the zits and scars and all. If you want me to do design your own POP version, please do not hesitate to let me know here or in any other social medias.

Thank you for your time and please do come back for more. Assalamualaikum and good bye! :-)
