"Another go on a rundown genre but with a unique and never-before-seen take on the premise, a rather far-fetched but nevertheless a true real life story.
"A clash of idealism of faith and practicality of war between one particularly devout soldier with the rest of the army force, forced to bear arms against a common enemy on the battlefield in the only way they could but he adamantly disagreed.
"His bizarre decision to stand firm behind his unshaken belief and not joining them and contribute in the same way in the end earned him the begrudging approval of the officer but not his eventual compatriot, to the point of hostility against him.
"He didn't hold it against them as he remained unshaken in his struggle, acting on his resolve instead to single-handedly go behind the enemy lines and his teammate's back and save and bring back the injured and fallen soldiers to the base to the awe and finally the recognition of his comrades, joining forces together on the frontline.

(Director Mel Gibson (Braveheart, the Passion of the Christ), Budget $55 Millions, Duration 2h 11m, Genre - Biography, Drama, History)
+ Highlights: exceptional cinematography, raw and cinematic direction by the director, the main theme of idealism versus practicality, the explosive of frustation in the cell, the cacophony of explosions, the massive nature of the battlefield, the swiping of the grenade, the burying alive of an injured comrade, the look down on the firing gun & the pulling out of the camera as the two oppositions collide head on
- Lowlights: the outrageous private life affairs of the director could be too much for some, the smooth and well-mannered speech pattern of yesteryears performed by Andrew Garfield could get time to get used to & the obligatory side-story of his love life
