Hm... Too much time have passed to not be hearing anything back from the Great Nothingness.
Take a leap of faith, the narrator exclaim enthusiastically! The adventurer, shocked by the sudden burst of excitement coming from the usually somber companion, moves by it and obliges by bringing the mug closer to their face since it is already in the perfect height to be drank straight down. And they did just that without a moment of hesitation, gulping down the content without any thought to savour the taste or the condition of the liquid itself. None of that register in their mind as they tilt it all the way until none of the drink is occupying its former container anymore. Oh, there was an echo of approval from the void after all. A little late and only once but an approval nonetheless. After the deed is done, the previously parched adventurer feels that they couldn't move their body at all, standing still there with the mug still at the same position. The ray of light that was all around them before had been dwindling down at the same time as the drink was drank, leaving the scenery a little more downcast compared to the first time they arrived. Is this the consequence of this spur of the moment action? Certainly appear so, the narrator seems to confirm. What should they do now? The only motion they are able to do is blinking their eyes... should they close them tightly in a futile effort to gain a little enlightenment on this particular predicament? Should they try to move their body as much as they could, trying to shake off this aftereffect of the drink? Or should they just stay still, and wait for the whatever comes next to come?
Shut their eyes, shake their body, or stay very still? Decisions, decisions. It's time to arrive on a decision, and that is...?
