No sound from the void, so why not turn to the one in the forest...

Feeling a little bit more braver compared to how they started the morning, the now protector bravely raise the single flimsy stick in their left hand and slowly turning their body to face the natural void that is the source of the aforementioned sound. Staring right into the valley of the beast so to speak, a couple of glowing orbs that could be mistaken as one greet them, once again if only a little closer comparatively to the earlier meeting. Understanding their intentions albeit not completely certainly helps to ease this mortal's worries but they couldn't help themselves from having a natural reaction to this, heart heavily palpitating, hand slightly shaking and body nervously sweating. That following few moments of silence is like the calm before a storm, standing there rigidly with one hand full with twigs and another fending off threat with an ineffective weapon at the edge of the woods while the light is slowly fading away into the approaching dark. Speaking of which, the warm embrace of the bright sun is slowly dissipating and the fear of being replaced by the chill air of night adds to the trembling of the body, trying to counter it with quick deep breaths to no avail. As soon as the sense of fear starts to grow to cover the whole body, they could feel the air in front of them begin to turn and swirl towards the end of the stick they are holding. Not knowing what to do, they just try to keep it steady at the same spot despite feeling a slight pull, even when the temperature around the area rises as well until it is high enough that it catches fire. After the spark materializes out of thin air, everything begins to turn back to normal, and the glowing orbs in front of them that didn't phased them anymore slowly dim and then disappear... Now, should you go back to your spot right away or wander around the edge of the forest? The usually chipper narrator speaks up only once this time around, asking what the next step would be. Which one would you choose, dear adventurer?
