You deserve to take it in for a bit after all that happened in the morning... For once, that is something that they both could really agree upon.

Laid out down at the side of the fire, that blanket looks so comfortable for the weary adventurer that they could fall asleep as soon as they laid down on it. The protector takes out the egg and puts it in the side pocket of the bag, dragging it closer to the side where they would sleep, trying to keep it close as they can without squishing it accidentally in their sleep. The cold air starts to seep through their clothes but not to a degree that would cause a problem, thanks to the thick material their wardrobe is made of, and of course the steadily emanating fire in front of them help to counter the change in temperature, hopefully lasting the whole night. Not wanting to feel more vulnerable than what they already feel here in the middle of the field, they decide to sleep without taking off any of the clothes, in case of emergency of course. Breathing a sigh of relief after laying down gently on something soft for a change after the physical and mental beating they took throughout, they could feel the body begins to loosen their muscles almost instantly, all the strains and tensions slowly but surely melting away, making them want to close their eyes immediately. They fight to keep them open by blinking furiously and taking deep breaths, trying to clear their mind and just enjoy the night for a little bit. Looking up at the dark sky, once it was a blanket of nothingness now littered with numerous blinking stars and constellations, with the one bright moon that is right on top of their spot, shining down on them. It is as if it is telling them that they are being watched over and they would be safe tonight. Raising their hand instinctively like they are waving back to someone, they feel embarrassed by this sudden urge, right away try to act like they are holding the moon instead, between the thumb and the index finger. After a few moments that they thinks is appropriate, they could feel that their face is heating up and drop the extended head in response. That's one way to keep yourself warm, huh? The blushing wanderer put the other index finger in front of their mouth, shushing the narrator in retaliation. Shaking their head from side to side, they are thinking of what to do next... they feel like they could still stay up for a few more moments but they are as ready as they'll ever be to fall asleep there comfortably.
