They all have probably fall asleep already by now... Should you do the same as well?

It's only a few moments past sundown, but they might just want to lie down and let the body rest naturally. If it called for an early journey to the dreamland, then so be it, the now resting adventurer assures themselves. Comfortability is the key here, and they feel it is achieved to the best of their abilities. Warmth from the fire, softness from the blanket and feeling of companionship from the new member of the party. Speaking of which, they feel the need to keep it as close as they could, reaching out with the left hand to the bag pocket that is bulging out slightly now, occupied by the tiny defenseless egg and its makeshift nest. Barely touching it by cupping it with the palm, they want to keep providing extra warmth if possible for the rest of the night, resting the elbow on the ground to not exert themselves anymore than they should. Feeling the distance between them and the fire is a bit too close for comfort, they scoot over a bit to the side, finding the perfect compromise that would treat them the best. After stop being so preoccupied with themselves to stop and smell the roses, letting nature surrounds them fully and envelop all their senses. It is only natural to put up your guard especially if you're feeling vulnerable, but once the weary protector finally let loose and soak in the surroundings, from the increasing crescendo of insects and critters chirping to each other and the occasional breezes of wind whipping by the open field. You can get used to this, right? Another statement that they could agree with the narrator. I'll ask you this again for the last time; do you want to close your eyes and go to sleep or keep it wide awake still? Which one would you choose, dear protector?
