Scoot or stay?

User-Controlled 003s [pen-to-paper] <idea> the Razor's Edge [reddit]

... Wait, is that an echo...?

There were two, in fact! You can never count them out, now can't you? The rather upbeat tone of the narrator certainly gives the adventurer that little pep in their step to build up their courage and actually step onto the narrow path at the edge of the ledge. They now found out that they might suffer from a little bit of a vertigo, and considering where they are right now, it's not an ideal place to discover that. Well, they wouldn't found out about this phobia if they didn't go out of the house but they won't be in danger if they didn't go in the first place, so that's quite of a conundrum. Hugging the rocky surface of the mountain is smart but facing outward towards the possible drop is not, so short but constant scooch alongside the wall is the only action they could take right now. When that feel of dread from the vertigo keeps building up in every inch they move forward, or to the side in this instance, they begin to wander whether or not they should proceed or stop for a moment to take a breath. They could even go back off the ledge since they're not that far in down this path, but that would be wasteful, right? Keep going or take a rest? Decide now. Tick. Tock.

Scoot over or stay back? Decisions, decisions. In the end, they decided to...?
