Podcast of the Day 002
Keith and the Girl
Keith Malley & Chemda Khalili
[March 8th, 2005-]

Podcast Dominant Traits =
laidback honest conversation around their personal life as well as the entertainment and serious news

I came across their site a few years ago and decided to give it a go but I couldn't quite get into their style of podcasting then. When I learned more of their historic run, I went for another run and I haven't stop since. They are one of the longest-running podcasts out there in the industry for a reason: they found their own unique voices and now tight-knit listening community while providing commentary on the world around them and around us with their in-depth analysis or maybe just even passing knowledge ... all with the tinge of comedy and seriousness since the world now sorely need the combination of the former and the latter. All in all, their relationship even after dating each other is what I am striving for. Communications, people!

Chance of Mainstream Success =
above 80% with their recognizable and well-defined voice in the industry as one of the leaders although their style is a choiced taste.

a case for the veteran trailblazers:
+ Highlights +
Perfect chemistry between the two co-hosts coming through the audio resulting from their short-lived relationship together and then years together as a professional couple and being open and honest about every facet of their life, making the listening experience that much richer and more personal.
~
The range of topic they covered from one episode to another went from one end to the other end of the spectrum ranging from comedy to personal tragedy to movies in the cinema to even political issues and breaking scandals, of course with their own honest take on it.
? Main contention ?
They certainly don't get as big of audiences as they deserve, but the one they have now's a strong backbone to their thriving community.
- Lowlights -
An acquired taste. It may not be to your liking, but if you're like me, it might strike your fancy the second time around.
{ Underlying themes and/or on the surface }
I love how sincere everyone is on the show, sharing everything and talking out their differences on anything under the sun. That's how you should always be to anyone around you!
