a Time Lapse Worthy of Attention

topic of the day 030 & video of the day 026
a Moment in a Lifetime
Stone house (석가)

What?
An incredible journey through the life of a female with the medium of art, using the digital capability to its best potential by allowing us to see the journey in (sped-up) 'real time'.
How? Who?
Stone House from South Korea, using the ingenious method of timelapse to let us follow his fabricated character's life believably from just a baby into adolescent and all the way until her golden years, all the while keeping one trait virtually unchanged: the eyes.
Why?
It's more than a statement of talent by this particular artist that not only he was able to create lifelike and realistic caricatures and transition naturally from one stage of life to another rather seamlessly, keeping the eyes throughout is key since as the sayings go: the eye is a window to the soul and you can virtually see behind those eyes, it is the same person in every part of the finished works.
Then? So?
Aside from the obvious appreciation of Stone house's knack in expressive portraits, it allow us to see an imaginary person's life from start to end and maybe incite us to reflect on how we live our own life, from innocence to confidence and finally grateful and acceptance.

Lesson Learned:
A showcase of talent let us go on a journey of a virtual life from start to finish, allowing us to look upon ourselves retrospectively.
