a case for the jump into the world wide web:

First coming across only the title first, I Googled the name (as I always do when I encountered any new game that I can't recognize straight away) and the screenshots give me the familiar feelings of that I got when I see Machinarium's intricately detailed and wonderfully drawn environments, which Little Echo matched with its own specific and particular brand. Albeit appeared a little bit more somber and bleak than the brighter Botanicula, it was all in line with the game's premise as the main protagonist was tasked to send these mails to the inhabitants of this small contained world. Deciding to depend wholly on the visuals to convey the story without any audio or written aids, it was a risk well taken as the animated characters and the lived-in locales are designed perfectly to lead the players around and navigate through it i.e. the sprightly cursor/arrow, the unique designs and abilities of the others and the trace of living left behind by them on the surroundings. The soundtrack is really mesmerizing, coupled perfectly with the visuals as the soothing yet whimsical score is the perfect accompaniment to the detailed backgrounds and all the actions on the foreground. All in all, it is a short but sweet playing experience, makes you looking forward to go for another adventure in this universe by Might and Delight!
Here's my custom Funko POP version of the main protagonist, Echo the Courier!

+ Positive +
A beautiful marriage between wonderful art direction and unique soundtrack as the mute protagonist trope fit the game to a tee.
? Main contention ?
The studio's particular design tendency is much more apparent and familiar when you know its previous work, Shelter in particular ... no wonder I am familiar with this particular tone of colours when I Googled it after I finished it and started to research for this review.
- Negative -
If you are not well versed of how this particular genre is played, you would be frustrated by the lack of in-game hints
(although the visual clues are sufficient enough for me to finish it without a hitch).
