"A highly anticipated big screen meeting of two DC iconic heroes following up on a polarizing movie but also as a setup to the eventual ensemble Justice League movie."
~ A highly anticipated big screen meeting of the two most iconic DC comic heroes that is heavily burdened to kickstart their cinematic universe as a response to the already thriving and successful Marvel Cinematic Universe
~ A capable yet divisive director at the helm, arguably adapted the previous two comic book materials successfully (300 & Watchmen) but not so much with his own (Sucker Punch), having the ultimate task to introduce this new iteration of Batman after the successful Dark Knight trilogy as well as Wonder Woman and Lex Luthor whose casting provided controversies of their own
~ As a prequel to the eventual ensemble DC movie, it is running into a risk of being too much of a setup for the next movie instead of focusing more on the the momentous clash itself, adding side characters and plots that do not correlate cohesively with the main storyline
~ Darker themes and much more serious tone in the whole marketing campaign that is in line with the recent shift in the superhero genre, a good contrast to the more upbeat Marvel Movie Universe and the released trailers have been highly embraced by the fans old and new alike, casual and diehard as well (with that one particular spoilery trailer notwithstanding), with the hype at fever high
