The most anticipated follow up from the modern pioneer of point-and-click adventure games on the groundbreaking surprise success of the adaptation of the hit television series and the original graphic novels, revolving around the main character's interaction with other survivors on the eve of zombie apocalypse.

~ Clinging emotionally and physically to Clementine, the sole lead of this iteration with the player's own decisions affecting her development externally in the first game and then internally in the sequel, watching her grew up from a child under Lee's supervision and then into a strong girl holding her own besides other adults although this third season would see her as a capable teenager.

~ With a jump in the narration, the inability to personally affect her growth specifically for the players of both seasons would be seen a gamble as it was different from the previous direction and also a nice change of pace, especially with Javier, the other survivor from the trailer, as the other playable character throughout this season.

~ A welcome introduction of Telltale's newest game engine (especially after the last one has been thoroughly used to its full potential as it showed its age and ware and tare) and the first look of it in action (as well as in the Batman's screenshots) looked promising with its sharper resolutions and smoother movements, the distinct difference in the appearance of Clementine in her facial features and character model could indicate her growing up and the departure from the old's more cartoony style to the more realistic take which would give mixed feelings because of the personal and sentimental attachment on her previous rather iconic look.

~ Based on the trailer, new players could straight away jump into the new story that is represented by Javier while Clementine would be familiar to previous season's players, with a particular brand on the former, the zombie and the game's logo itself as well as the literal fiery imagery also accompanying the scene and the logo foreshadowing the overall direction this season is going while her position just side by side him indicates both are at equal footing and could handle herself while the loss of her left ring finger showed a physical ramification possible from her previous experience in-between the seasons or earlier this season before this particular scene
