~ With the recent commercial and critical success of this year's start for Disney's animated releases so far with Zootopia and the Jungle Book, the pressure is on for this movie to continue the trend but the inclusion of the studio's veteran directing partners provides capable hands to handle this latest iteration of a current adaptation of an ancient Hawaiian lore with their most recent work provides trepidation but their solid track record would prove the risk worth taking

~ The vocal inclusion of two native Hawaiians in the form of a 14 years old  Auli’i Cravalho and the hardest working movie star currently, Dwayne 'the Rock' Johnson, gives this latest Disney princess the intrinsic authentic feel and treats the history with respect while the stardom status of the latter would propel this project into the limelight and attract more mainstream audiences

> The recently released teaser is a good and endearing showcase of one of the main characters of the movie, appropriately giving the spotlight to the perfect CG embodiment of the Rock in the form of the animated and charmful demigod, Maui, while the main female lead was taking a back seat in this particular trailer but the snippets of scenes teased the throughline of her journey from her childhood to her youth surrounding her abilities and fulfilling her quest especially in the most beautifully animated world of the Pacific flora and fauna, however short it was seen on the screen
