In the ancient South Pacific world of Oceania, Moana, a born navigator, sets sail in search of a fabled island. During her incredible journey, she teams up with her hero, the legendary demi-god Maui, to traverse the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous sea creatures, breathtaking underworlds and ancient folklore.

~ With the recent commercial and critical success of this year's start for Disney's animated releases so far with Zootopia and the Jungle Book, the pressure is on for this movie to continue the trend but the inclusion of the studio's veteran directing partners provides capable hands to handle this latest iteration of a current adaptation of an ancient Hawaiian lore with their most recent work provides trepidation but their solid track record would prove the risk worth taking

~ The vocal inclusion of two native Hawaiians in the form of a 14 years old  Auli’i Cravalho and the hardest working movie star currently, Dwayne 'the Rock' Johnson, gives this latest Disney princess the intrinsic authentic feel and treats the history with respect while the stardom status of the latter would propel this project into the limelight and attract more mainstream audiences
