"An anticipated followup of a solid time travelling movie and its celebrated director that is plagued with premature fan backlash and inconsistent level of anticipation and hype."
~ A much clearer and succinct presented storyline with the inception of Apocalypse to its impending arrival into the now peaceful institution set up by Professor X after the conclusion of Days of Future Past, with the latter appeared to be underestimating the former and paid the price by getting taken and forcing the hands of the new inexperienced X-Men to band together under the apparent guidance of Mystique, giving her the main spotlight with the momentum from the previous two movies (to the delight or chagrin of the mainstream audiences or the purists) to face a threat at a whole new level but with the help of a certain adamantium wearer (that could be seen as a desperate move to appease the fans or just as a tease of what's to come)
