From what I could surmised from this blog post on this specific location, it was manmade resulted from quarry activities in the 60's. I found out this beauty accidentally when I was wandering around Kuala a couple of years ago. If there's any kayak service or something similar to it, I would love to row around the lake peacefully all by myself...
