a case for the most recent motion picture adaptations and the long awaited but far-fetched trilogy:
+ Positive +
cult hits by a beloved director in the pop culture, Guillermo del Toro, that devoutly bring to life the ornate and lively world of B.P.R.D. and the as colorful characters living in it with as much practical effects and perfect casting that add to the overall experience.
? Main contention ?
his now infamous involvement with various projects across the industry that don't materialize one way or another that was once met with fan's dreams and expectation has now turned to scrutiny and disappointment and his ambitious yet unrealistic $300+ millions take on the third iteration sadly would not come to life because at the end of the day he just didn't provide the profit the studio needed.
- Negative -
the total earnings unfortunately didn't reflect the popularity of his particular take (just $260 millions worldwide for the two films).

a second crack at a premise that didn't garner the desirable result first time around would let them (hopefully) learn a valuable lesson from their mistakes and apply them appropriately to the best of their abilities,
~
a capable lead in David Harbour (now in the limelight after a strong performance in Stranger Things) and a relatively young career (younger compared to Ron Perlman) although his ability to lead a motion picture is still up in the air.
? Main contention ?
the non restriction of the R-rating would give them limitless potential to adapt this one-of-a-kind work of fiction although the saying of limit breeds creativity would certainly have substantial meanings if they couldn't control themselves and overstep their own potential.
- Negative -
retreading the same thread again could be a negative (although it started 13 years ago while the second was in 2008) while del Toro's critically acclaimed vision still have lasting effect in the current pop culture and aged gracefully,

going on the bandwagon of R-rated movies just for the sake of it wouldn't be beneficial for the franchise in the long run although Mike Mignola's original graphic novels definitely have the materials to support a more darker and mature take compared to the most recent, "to walk a razor’s edge between horror and comic book movie."

essentially an alien being from another planet that is mostly known for its symbiotic (hence the symbiote) relationship with Spider-Man and being the more aggressive and stronger version of him yet flawed in its own ways although still one of the most feared and revered villains in the Spidey world and even comic book mythology as a whole.
~
Tom Hardy is the perfect actor to portray Eddie Brock as an arrogant male lead while emoting the inner struggle between him and the overpowering power of Venom and ultimately the physical manifestation of the black phenom (see Bronson or the Dark Knight Rises for the best example) and since he's pretty finicky of any script he chooses to accept, it's a positive outlook for this project.
? Main contention ?
since there have been a lot of iterations that are widely different from each other, it would be interesting to see which one would be adapted onto the silver screen especially since Tom Holland's version of the superhero would not be its first host,
~
the good graces granted with Zombieland had been overpowered by the misstep of the Gangster Squad yet the director Ruben
- Negative -
no matter where it goes, it would always be viewed as inferior without the inclusion of his ultimate nemesis by the comic fans.

not tied down by the restriction coming with the all inclusive Marvel Cinematic Universe that barely have wiggle room for the intellectual properties in it to go away from the usual formula they are used to in their current run.
? Main contention ?
the iconic look of Venom in the comic book came about after the merger with Spider-Man and since he wouldn't encounter him (it seemed), how would he appear with the signature black and white look? The justification should be just.
- Negative -
the possible storyline with the other current established MCU characters let alone the top feud with Spider-Man is off the table.

a case for the morally ambiguous duo:
a capable duo with different abilities that let them play on both sides of the law, with the one in black have superior agility and acrobatic abilities while the one in silver have been trained to handle heavy weaponry to support her mercenary and vigilante ways.
~
the former have a closer tie with Spider-Man than the latter's more tangential relationship although their journey through the Marvel universe have been further away from Peter Parker compared to Venom which allow them to have their own believable movie together,
~
a solid director that would be venturing into the superhero movie genre for the first time who would ventured out of mostly exclusively making African American movies for the first time by directing Marvel's Cloak and Dagger pilot episode first but now represent the first African American director to helm a big budget superhero studio project and the second female director to do so
? Main contention ?
since everything in comics are sexualized especially the female characters, how they adapt their wardrobe would be interesting to see.
- Negative -
not having Spider-Man would always be a shortcoming but they at least would not be bogged down and could venture out of their comfort zone.

- [RUMORED!] Synopsis -
Seven years after Mendel Stromm (a.k.a. Robot Master) and his two henchmen (The Scorpion and The Tarantula) killed her father, Silver Sable is hired by the government to find Felicia Hardy. The Black Cat, a master hacker and thief, has apparently stolen valuable secret information. She’s hiding in the lawless and dangerous triple frontier area between Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil.
Once there, Sable ask her old contact Dmitri Smerdyakov (a.k.a. The Chameleon) to locate her. But it seems, the government are not the only ones looking for the Black Cat. It seems Felicia had made a deal Stromm to save her father from a Russian prison and she’s been genetically enhanced. Now, the mad scientist wants his prized experiment back because his financier (cough Norman Osborn cough) wants a return on his investment....
