Getting Started 006 a logo for a local show as a favor for a cousin
If you've seen my past post, you'll remember this logo and it is for a show called "Keluarga Pontimau" or "Pontimau Family". If you're wondering what the heck is a 'pontimau', it's a combination of
pontianak with harimau (tiger). I'm not quite sure what the premise is but it is common for the local shows to have such absurd marriage just for variety sake.
Pontianak is a female vampiric ghost in Malaysian and Indonesian mythology
(source: Wikipedia) that suck out life out of their victims in the same way as yes vampires, hence the logo appeared to be in the shape of a dripping blood while the signature stripes and colors of tiger represents the more prominent genes and since she's the mother of the family, she's the main substance that holds them together ... at least that's how it goes in my head.
Anyway, the middle one is my second attempt with colored pencils for a change instead of colored pens (seen here in the third and last piece) and the first was the brightened version via the scanner driver. Can you read the title there? The left side was in the motive of fluid blood while the right side was in the motive of the tiger's colors and teeth. Well, that's it, then. Thank you for coming!
